On Saturday, June 22, we will have shortened hours due to the Indianapolis Monumental Mile. The Indiana War Memorial will be open from 1-5 p.m., and the Soldiers and Sailors Monument will be open from 1-5:30 p.m. All roads around our facilities should be open by noon. However, parking will be available on Michigan Street that morning.

Veteran’s Day Remembrance

 

Celebrate Veterans Day and the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I by stopping by Monument Circle on Friday, November 9th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. to pick up a free Remembrance Poppy courtesy of the Indiana War Memorials Foundation (IWMF) and Emmis Communications.  IWMF staff will distribute these special symbols of sacrifice in front of the Emmis Communications building on Friday so that you can honor your special veteran as well as the 375,000 Americans lost in World War I. Display this tangible symbol of peace, service, and sacrifice in honor of our gatekeepers of freedom during this very special Veterans Day weekend.
